Our Products || Vertical Pile Cloth Filters
The Vertical Pile Cloth Filter (VFC) is an advanced tertiary filtration solution designed for high-efficiency wastewater treatment and industrial water applications. Engineered with a fully submerged vertical disc configuration, the VFC delivers superior solids removal, low energy consumption, and continuous filtration performance within a compact footprint.
Manufactured by IN-EKO TEAM, the VFC utilises a 100% submerged filtration system with vertically mounted pile cloth discs that capture suspended solids on the outer surface of the filter media. Unlike conventional partially submerged filters, the system uses suction cleaning instead of backwashing, improving filtration efficiency while reducing operational costs and maintenance requirements.
Its modular design allows configurations with 2 to 6 discs mounted on a vertical axis, providing flexibility for a wide range of treatment capacities and plant layouts. Combining innovative pile cloth technology with scalable engineering, the VFC offers a reliable and efficient filtration solution for both municipal and industrial facilities.
Untreated water enters the stainless-steel tank where vertically mounted filter discs are fully submerged. Each disc consists of multiple filter segments covered with specialised pile cloth media.
As water passes through the cloth:
- Suspended solids and impurities are retained on the cloth surface
- Clean water flows through the filter media
- Accumulated solids gradually reduce flow rate
- Water level rises until a level sensor activates the cleaning cycle
- The discs begin rotating while suction pumps remove captured solids
- Once the water level returns to the preset operating level, the cleaning cycle stops
The filtration process continues uninterrupted throughout the cleaning cycle, ensuring constant operation and stable treatment performance.
